Dotty about Marc Jacobs

Well I love Marc Jacob's of course but when you combine that with my love of polka dots, as so many lovely pieces in this new season collection do, then I'm just head over heels in love. We have a pretty pink and cream polka dot shell with a bow that would look super sweet on Emma Pillsbury. The black and white spotted skirt with scalloped edged tiers may just be my favourite piece and while I would love to see it on Emma, it may be more likely to appear on Rachel if anyone. Although I think both the navy and white dotted long sleeve dress and black and white short sleeve dress would be appropriate for Rachel, as would the polka dot ballet flats.

I do so love some of the other polka dot dresses in this collection but alas I can't see how they can easily be worked into an episode of Glee. Still here's one to admire. It makes me think of the polo match scene in Pretty Woman.

Then there are the plaid pieces. Of course Marc Jacobs makes one think Rachel Berry anyway, but it's even more the case when it's plaid Marc Jacobs.
I love the scalloped edge skirt and the plaid pinafore seems very Rachel Berry-esque, as does the pink and green bow-adorned cami in a geometric print - it's not plaid but it does have a similar effect.

There are also lots of bird accessories to choose from. I like the colourful jumbled birds umbrella and tote. And the bird stud earrings in blue, green and yellow seem perfect for spring. I could see Emma wearing the long bird station necklace, the stacking bird rings or the fat ruby red snow bunting ring. She might also like this gold bead necklace with asymmetrically placed snow bunting.
Spring 2011 also brings some pretty pansy print pieces from Marc Jacobs.
I think the red halterneck, yellow camisole and dress show some Rachel potential - plus they're pretty! That's the main reason I included them. I think the black and white print blouse with collar detail could work for Emma.

Other noteworthy pieces for Emma  are this pretty pastel floral halterneck top with oversized bow

And this silk floral print tie neck blouse with ruffle detail
This red ruffle neck cap sleeved top
As well as this delicate ivory broderie anglaise top with ruffled front
And this blue top with asymmetric ruffle detail, reminiscent of the top Emma wore for the brief and ill-fated (not to mention excruciatingly embarrassing) drive in Will's yellow lamborghini.

Also, even though its not that new but simply because I'm in love with it, this gorgeous blue silk shirt with printed collar, which I would love to see on Emma but could equally well be worn by Rachel.

It's a winning combination! I would love to see Emma wear that top, I mean I'd like to own it too, but if I can't I'd like to see it on Emma ... reminds me of the top of her Cloey dress :)
